Now that I'm all done with the Nova Lee trilogy, I'm going to start writing a trilogy about my third favorite animal, bats. I hope y'all like it. I'll start of with this first story to see what y'all think of it.
Prologue
It was night time. Time for all of the furry guardians to be out flying, protecting the skies. The guardians were bats. Millions and millions of bats. A colony of leaf-nosed bats were flying over the water, happily feasting on mosquitos. The youngest of the colony was Vesper, a young she-bat. She was learning how to be the protecter of the skies. Her first lesson was feasting on the illness carrying mosquitos before they could bite other living creatures. Vesper allready caught eight-hundred mosquitos in just less than an hour. Vesper loved the taste of mosquitos. She can eat them all night if she wanted. But, she realized that she had to leave some for the rest of her colony. "Happy hunting, Vesper?" Casaja, Vesper's best friend, squeaked. "Oh, I caught eight-hundred mosquitos tonight!" Vesper squeaked. "I caught nine-hundred-five!" Casaja bragged. "Show off!" Vesper squeaked in mock anger. "Want to fly with me?" Casaja squeaked. "Sure!" Vesper squeaked. Vesper flew with Casaja. While the two best friends flew, a false vampire bat flew at them. "Terror!!!" Vesper and Casaja squeaked at the same time. "Ah, looks like I'm going to have me a couple of snacks tonight!" Terror squeaked. The, Vesper and Casaja saw their colony fly at Terror, biting him. "Curse you Leafwings!" Terror snarled as he flew off. "Thanks you guys!" Vesper squeaked. "Those Bloodwings will not rest until they destroy each and everyone of us!" Loretta, Vesper's mother, squeaked. "We got to do something about them!" Shadow, Vesper's father, squeaked. "What can we do?" Casaja squeaked. "Wait! I just had a prophecy!" Dolly, Vesper's grandmother and Loretta's mother, squeaked. All of the Leafwings stared at her. "If we believe in a vesper, we'll be saved!" Dolly squeaked. "What does that mean?" Shadow squeaked. "I don't know. But, we'll soon find out." Dolly squeaked.

A Proud Night
I flew with Casaja as we hunted for more inscets. "I bet I can catch three beetles before you!" Casaja squeaked. "I bet I can catch a MOTH!" Vesper squeaked. Casaja rolled her eyes. "Seriously!" Vesper squeaked. "Come on, Vesper! Only the very best hunters can catch moths!" Casaja squeeked. "I'm going to catch a GHOST moth!" Vesper squeaked. "Sure!" Casaja squeeked. "I'll prove it to you! I'll catch one and show it to you!" Vesper squeaked. "Good luck! You're going to need it!" Casaja squeaked. With that, I flew off. There were some ghost moths in the jungle, but Casaja was right. Only the very best hunters can catch them. Vesper quickly let out her sonar. No moths. Vesper flew past a bunch more trees. Vesper let out another sonar. Still no moths. Vesper flew on. After flying past several more trees, Vesper let out another sonar. Vesper can see a moth in her mind now. Vesper flew at it, letting out more sonars. Then, Vesper finally saw the white moth. Vesper flew at it, sending more sonars at it. But, the moth heard them and flew off. Vesper flew after it. She wasn't going to give up easily. Vesper was fast, but the moth was fast too. The moth tried to lose Vesper in the leafy tree branches, but Vesper wasn't stupid. Vesper let out more sonars. The moth heard her and flew off of the leaf that was hiding it. Vesper flew faster and faster. Vesper's wings were starting to get tired. 'I'll never give up!' Vesper thought to herself. Vesper took a deep breath and let it out. Vesper still flew after the moth. Vepser flew faster and faster. She was getting really close to the moth now. Vesper strained as she flew faster. Vesper quickly opened her mouth and snatched the moth. Vesper did it! She caught the ghost moth! 'I did it!' Vesper thought to herself. Vesper flew in search for Casaja. Few wing beats later, she found her. Casaja's eyes widened. "You...caught...a...moth!" Casaja squeaked. Vesper nodded, still holding the moth. "You...caught...a...ghost moth!" Casaja squeaked. Vesper nodded agian, still holding her moth. "Hey, everyone! Vesper caught a ghost moth!" Casaja squeaked loudly. Soon, all of Vesper's colony appeared. "Vesper caught a moth!" one of them squeaked. "She caught a ghost moth!" another one squeaked. "But, only the best hunters can catch them!" another squeaked. "Well done, Vesper! You did a proud thing! You are now a supreme hunter!" Dolly squeaked. "Vesper, I'm so proud of you!" Loretta squeaked. Vesper smiled and ate her moth. It tasted delicious. Vepser was proud too. She was now one of the best hunters in the sky.

Dream
The sun began to rise. Time for all bats to go to sleep. Vesper was still full of pride about her moth. She was a newborn, and yet, she became one of the best hunters in the sky! The elders were still in awe. "You're a mighty huntress, daughter!" Shadow squeaked. "Yes, dad, I am!" Vesper squeaked. Vesper always slept on the highest branch of a tree with Shadow and Loretta. Loretta licked Vesper on the cheek. "Good night, love!" Loretta whispered. Shadow touched Vesper's nose with his. "Good night, sweetheart!" Shadow whispered. "Good night!" Vesper whispered at them. With that, Vesper drifted off to sleep. --- Vesper saw that she was in Sky Haven. A place where all bats go when they die. 'Surely I cannot be dead!' Vesper thought to herself. Then, Vesper saw a HUGE she-bat fying towards her. Her wingspan was forty feet long! The giant bat landed about a yard away from Vesper. "Greetings, young one! Welcome to Sky Haven! I'm Mistress!" the enormous bat squeaked. Mistress had a long, beast like snout. She had a rose-pink nose. Her hur was silver and bathed in starlight. Her claws were a shiny white color. Her eyes were jet-black. "Am I...am I...dead?" Vesper squeaked meekly. Mistress laughed. "Of course not, child! I just want to say that I'm very proud of you for the way you caught that moth! You got the makings of a pure huntress!" Mistress squeaked. "T-thanks!" Vesper stammered. "There's another thing I have got to say." Mistress squeaked darkly. "What?" Vesper squeaked. "The Bloodwings are getting more and more powerful. They will not stop slaughtering bats smaller than themselves. You need to find five more bat colonies to put an end to the Bloodwings' bat eating habits." Mistress squeaked. Vesper nearly jumped out of her fur. "How in the Underworld am I going to find five more bat colonies to agree to help my colony to defeat the Bloodwings???" Vesper squeaked. "If we believe in a vesper, we'll be saved." Mistress squeaked. That prophecy, that's the same prophecy that Dolly had said! "Now, whe you wake up, you must began the search for more bat colonies." Mistress demanded. The next thing Vesper saw was blackness.

Thanks, Moon! I can't do an alliegance section because there can be millions of bats in a single colony. Can you imagine making over a MILLION characters??? Besides, this story is loosly based on the Silverwing trilogy, they didn't have alliegances.
The Journey Begins
When Vesper awoke, she saw that the sun was setting. Time for bats to be awake. Vesper knew that she had to tell Dolly about her dream. Dolly was the chief elder. Vesper flew towards the bottom branch where the elders sleep. The elders sleep on the lowest branches for saftey in case they fall. The elders were not as strong and careful as the younger bats. "Dolly! Dolly! Wake up! I dreamt about Sky Haven last night!" Vesper squeaked. "I'm listening." Dolly squeaked. Vesper told her about the prophecy. "Mistress visited you?" Dolly squeaked. "Yes, and we have to find five more colonies to help us defeat the Bloodwings!" Vesper squeaked. "Well, tell the others about it before they fly off." Dolly squeaked. "Attention everyone! Listen to what I have to say!" Vesper squeaked. Millions of gazes rested on Vesper. Vesper told her colony about her dream. "Find five more colonies???" Rose, Vesper's aunt, squeaked. "Seeking help from enemy colonies???" Web, Vesper's cousin, squeaked. "We can't seek help from other colonies!" Fuzz, Vesper's albino colony mate, squeaked. "Mistress visited you???" Tosco, Vesper's colony mate, squeaked. "Wait a minute! Why should we believe YOU???" Fang, Vesper's huge colony mate and number one bully, sneered. "Yeah, why should we???" Claw, Vesper's colony mate and Fang's best friend, sneered. "You got the sense of a newborn pup!" Thorn, Vesper's colony mate and Fang and Claw's friend, sneered. Vesper glared at the three he-bats. "I never lie!" Vesper spat. "It's true! My daughter never lies!" Shadow snarled at the three he-bats. Even Fang was smaller than Shadow. So, Fang and his pals became silent. "You all know what we have to do! We must search for other bat colonies to help us!" Dolly squeaked. Most of Vesper's colony nodded, but the rest gave Vesper apalled looks. "I shall send three more bats to aid Vesper! Casaja, Fuzz, and Moth shall aid Vesper!" Dolly squeaked. Moth was an unusally fluffy bat and Vesper's clony mate. The three dipped their heads and flew next to Vesper. You four seek help! If you run into danger, come to us immediatley!" Dolly squeaked. The four nodded and flew in search for help.

Thanks! You write great stories too!
Vampwings
Vesper, Casaja, Fuzz, and Moth began the search for other bat colonies. "I can't believe we're doing this!" Casaja muttered. "Casaja, we can't ignore a prophecy from Sky Haven!" Fuzz squeaked. "We'll be extremely lucky that we don't get mauled by the other bat colonies!" Casaja snapped. "The other colonies might be friendly!" Moth, the usually sightly vain she-bat, squeaked softly. "The Bloodwings sure aren't!" Casaja spat. "No need to get so aggresive!" Fuzz snarled. "I'm not being aggresive! I'm just speaking sence here!" Casaja snarled back. "Guys! Guys! Calm down! No bat will help us if they see us arguing!" Vesper squeaked loudly. "IF they help us!" Casaja growled darkly. "Now, let us all remain quiet until we find other bat colonies!" Vesper squeaked. Fuzz and Moth nodded in agreement. Even Casaja nodded, though her eyes were narrowed to slits. Vesper and her friends continued flying. --- "I see a cave!" Moth squeaked. Vesper squinted. Moth was right. There was a cave ahead. "There might be bats inside!" Fuzz squeaked. "Let's fly into it then!" Vesper squeaked. The four leaf-nosed bats flew towards the dark cave. A few wingbeats later, they were in the cave. "Hello? Any bats live in here?" Vesper squeaked loudly. Vesper's voice echoed in the cave. "Who wants ta know?" demanded a voice. Vesper reconized that the voice belonged to a bat. "I'm Vesper, and these are my friends, Casaja, Fuzz, and Moth! We want to see you! We're leaf-nosed bats!" Vesper squeaked. "Hang on, I'll be there in a sec! Just keep hovering!" sighed the voice. Vesper and her friends continued to hover. A few moments later, a small, light-brown she-bat with huge and narrow nostrils appeared. Vesper saw that the diminutive bat had strange flat triangular teeth. Vesper saw that the bat also had very few teeth. "What do ya want?" demanded the bat. Vesper told her about her dream and the prophecy. The bat stared at her with wide eyes. "What's your name and what's your colony called and what type of bat are you?" Moth asked. "I'm Noct, my colony is called Vampwings, and I'm a vampire bat." the bat squeaked. Vampire bats! Vesper heard many stories about them. They never eat and the only thing they ever drink is blood of animals. "Pleased to meet you, Noct." Vesper squeaked. "So, you're supposed to seek help from five other bat colonies?" Noct squeaked. "Yes." Vesper squeaked. "Well, I don't know if I'll help you. Facing the Bloodwings is life threatening and I can't put my colony in danger." Noct squeaked. "But, you GOT to help us!" Moth squeaked. "Sorry." Noct squeaked unsympathaticly. "Surely the Bloodwings are terrorizing your colony too!" Fuzz squeaked. "Well, we did lose a couple of newborns to the Bloodwings..." Noct admitted. "I we band together, we can defeat the Bloodwings!" Vesper squeaked. "I don't know..." Noct squeaked. "Let's go! Obviously that bloodsucker isn't going to help us!" Casaja squeaked loudly. "There's no need for name calling!" Noct growled. Casaja rolled her eyes. "How many bats are in you four's colony?" Noct asked. "Two million." Vesper answered. "Well, I only got thirty-one bats, including me, in my colony." Noct squeaked. Vesper's heart sank a little bit. Thirty-one wasn't a big number. "Well, are you sure that if we joined forces that we'll be able to defeat the Bloodwings?" Noct squeaked. "That'll help..." Vesper squeaked. "You're not sure are you?" Noct squeaked. "Well find more bat colonies to help us!" Fuzz squeaked. "Hmm..." Noct squeaked. "Please?" Moth squeaked with pleading eyes. "Okay, you win. I'll escort you four to my colony." Noct sighed. Vesper and her friends flew after Noct. Vesper saw that Noct's bats were huddled into one giant fuzz ball. Noct introduced Vesper and her friends to her colony. Vesper told Noct's bats about her dream and the prophecy. The Vampwings murmured. "As leader of the Vampwings, I say we meet the Bloodwings in battle!" Noct squeaked. Most of the Vampwings just stared while some sneered. "You heard me! Let's go!" Noct squeaked. The Vampwings hesitated, but they flew with Vesper and her colony. 'Great! All we have to do is find four more bat colonies!' Vesper thought to herself.

A Deady Enemy
The bats few of, in search for more bat colonies. "I'm starving!" Moth whined. Vesper noticed that she was hungry as well. "I suppose we can stop for a hunt." Vesper squeaked. "I can smell some beetles about ten wingbeats away from here!" Fuzz squeaked. "Well, you insectivores can have the bugs, we'll go search for beasts!" Noct squeaked. Vesper was still a little grossed out about the vampire bats' thirst for blood. "Okay, let's hunt!" Casaja squeaked with impatience. With that, the bats flew off. Vesper spotted a flying beetle. She snatched it and devoured it. Vesper spotted a swarm of mosquitoes. Vesper flew at the hundred mosquitoes and devoured them all. Then, Vesper spotted a praying mantis. Vesper zoomed in and killed it. Vesper quickly devoured the mantis. Then, Vesper smelt something. Something alarming. Vesper painfully reconized the smell. Owl! Owls were a bat's most deadly enemy. They were even more deadly than false vampire bats. Paniced, Vesper flew away from the dreadful stench. Vesper lost at least three-hundred of her colony mates to those birds. The smell grew stronger. Vesper flew faster. hoooo...hooooo...hoooooooo The owl's hoots turn Vesper's blood to ice. Vesper desperatley tried to fly faster. Vesper heard the the wingbeats of the owl. Vesper turned her head. Vesper saw the faint image of the owl. Vesper desperatley searched for a hiding place. A crack or a hole or hollow tree. Anything! Vesper turned her head agian. The owl got closer. It's yellow eyes shone in the dark. Vesper flew with all of her might. Then, Vesper saw a deep crack in a rock. A life-saver! Vesper dived into the crack. Vesper scrambled into the crack. The crack hid Vesper. Vesper shivered as she heard the owl landed. The owl turned its head in a 180 degree angle. 'Please don't find me! Please don't find me!' Vesper thought desperatley to the owl. The owl turned its head upside down. Vesper held back a whimper. The owl turned it head right side up. The owl stompped around. Vesper nearlyy screamed as it go closer and closer to her hiding place. The owl stopped. The owl swiveled its head around. Vesper tried to climb deeper into the rock. She couldn't climb an lower. The owl stommped closer. The owl was walking towards the rock! Vesper's mouth fell open. The owl saw her!

The Flight
The owl shrieked an pecked at the crack Vesper was hiding in. Vesper shivered harder. The owl then scraped at the crack with its talons. The talons narrowly missed Vesper. The owl hooted in anger. The owl pecked and scraped at the crack. "Some one! Any one! Help me!!!" Vesper squeaked at the top of her lungs. Then, Vesper heards the squeaking of her friends and the Vampwings. Vesper saw them fly towards the owl. Startled, the owl flew away. Vesper saw her fellow bats fly after the owl. The owl flew away, disappeared in the darkness. The bats flew towards Vesper. Vesper climbed out of the crack. "Are you okay?" Casaja squeaked. "I am now, thanks to you all!" Vesper squeaked gratfully. "Owls are always dangerous pests!" Moth squeaked. "Well, we better fly away from this jungle. It's full of owls and Bloodwings." Noct squeaked. "But, we always lived in this jungle!" Vesper protested. "I'm sorry, Vesper, but if we want to look for more bat colonies, we have to get out of this dangerous jungle!" Noct squeaked. Vesper was shocked, but she knew that Noct was right. Vesper flew off the ground and followed her traveling mates.

Refuge
Vesper and her traveling companions flew on. They had flown a thousand wingbeats from their jungle. "Where are we going to find shelter?" Moth squeaked. "I don't know yet." Vesper squeaked. "I still say that we shouldn't have flown away from our home!" Casaja growled. "I didn't want to leave either." Fuzz squeaked quietly. "I'm sorry, but we have no choice!" a Vampwing squeaked. "Noct had the right idea!" another Vampwing squeaked. "Bloodsuckers!" Casaja muttered. "I heard that!" Noct squeaked. Casaja narrowed her eyes at Noct. Dawn was coming soon. Vesper knew that they must find a nice safe place to sleep soon. "I'm tired!" Casaja complained. "Me too!" Moth complained. "We'll find shelter soon." Vesper promised. "Noct, I got a question." Fuzz squeaked. "Shoot." Noct squeaked. "All bats are guardians of the sky. But, you vampire bats are blood drinkers. What are you protecting the skies from?" Fuzz squeaked. "You know, I've always wondered what my kind does to protect the skies myself. All of you other bats serve a purpose, but I'm not sure what my kind's purpose is either. I honestly have no idea." Noct squeaked. "Curious." Fuzz squeaked. "Yep." Noct squeaked. Vesper scanned the horizon for shelter. All she can see was dirt and muntains in the horizon. Dawn has arrived. "Where ARE we doing to sleep? Dawn's here!" Casaja squeaked. Then, Vesper spotted something. A cave! "I see a cave!" Vesper squeaked. "A cave? Sweet!" Noct squeaked. "I don't want to sleep in some dirty old cave!" Moth protested. "Want to be caught be day predators?" a Vampwing squeaked. "No!" Moth squeaked. "Then, we are going to sleep in that cave!" Noct squeaked. Moth frowned. "First, we got to make sure that nobody lives in that cave." Vesper squeaked. The bats flew into the cave. "Hello?! Anybody in here?!" Vesper squeaked. No reply. No scents. "It's an abandoned cave!" Noct squeaked excitedly. "This shall be our refuge than." Vepser squeaked. The bats flew deeper into the cave. The bats perched onto the walls. "Good eye, Vesper." Fuzz squeaked. "Thanks." Vesper squeaked. Than, sleep engulfed the bats.

The Warning
Vesper saw that she was in Sky Haven agian. Curious about why she's here, Vesper flew around, trying to find a bat and ask it why she's here. Vesper saw no bat so far. Vesper flew on and higher. She flew past trees and night clouds. "Hello?! Anybody here?!" Vesper called. No reply. Getting slightly annoyed, Vesper flew on. 'Where is everyone???' Vesper thought to herself. The eternal full moon and stars shone on Vesper, turning her tur into a silvery color. "Hello?! It's me! Vesper! One of you sent me here! Hello?!" Vesper called. Still no reply. 'What if I'm dead?' Vesper thought to herself in panic. "Vesper..." a voice squeaked. "Hello?" Vesper squeaked. "Vesper..." the voice squeaked agian. "Yeah?" Vesper squeaked. "Over here..." the voice squeaked. "Where?!" Vesper demanded. "I'm inside of a tree..." the voice squeaked. "Which tree?!" Vesper squeaked. "The one that's forty wingbeats in front of you..." the voice squeaked. Vesper flew forty wingbeats. "Okay, I'm here, come on out, please!" Vesper squeaked. A VERY small he-bat, the size of a bumblebee, crawled out from a hole in the tree. 'Great Sky Haven! Is that a pup?" Vesper thought to herself. "Before you ask, I am NOT a pup! I'm a Kitti's hog-nosed bat! That's how big we get! We're the smallest bat species on Earth!" the tiny bat squeaked. "Wow! I learn something new every day!" Vesper squeaked. "I'm Mouse. Though, I'm much smaller than a mouse! But, that's the name my parents gave me. So, I won't complain." the tiny bat squeaked. "I'm-" Veper squeaked. "Vesper. I know, I'm a guardian ancestor. I know all of you mortal's names. By the way, I'm the one that summoned you." Mouse interuppted. "Why?" Vesper squeaked. "I need to warn you." Mouse squeaked. "Warn me about what?" Vesper squeaked. "There's a bat with you, a bat that you cannot trust. You'll meet more bats that are not to be trusted. Be very careful." Mouse squeaked. "Who is the bat with me that's not to be trusted? Who are the bats that I'll meet that are not to be trusted as well?" Vesper squeaked in alarm. "You've been warned." Mouse squeaked. "Who are they?! Tell me!" Vesper shrieked. The next thing Vesper saw was blur.
