Thanks guys! I MIGHT do a sequel. Beware this chapter is SAD!!
Chapter 36
Crowfeather’s POV
I was alone patrolling the ThunderClan and WindClan border when I heard a cry not to far away.
I didn’t waste any time as I crossed over into ThunderClan territory and raced towards the cry. ‘Hold on!’ I silently cried.
I pushed myself to run faster and skidded to a stop when I saw Featherfur battling with a badger.
“Hold on Feathertail!” I cried, knowing I said ‘Feathertail’ instead of Featherfur.
I leapt on the badger’s back and dug my claws in as hard as I could. I snarled and bit its ear. It growled with pain and rage. Somehow it managed to throw me off. I hit the ground, the air knocked out of me. I looked over at Feathertail. She was still.
“NO!!!” I cried. The badger lumbered towards me and roared its fury in my face. It racked its claws across my chest barely missing my throat. I felt warm blood ooze from the wound, making a puddle of blood beneath me. It raised its paw in the air and as it came down, I saw Feathertail raise her head.
“Crowfeather! No!!” she cried. But before she could move I felt the badger’s claws slice my throat. “Feather… tail… I… love…you.” I gasped. I saw the tears stream down her face and I smiled. “Think you have nine lives, do you? I saved you once don’t make do it again.”
Feathertail smiled barely. “Crowfeather, don’t do this. Don’t… die.”
I gasped, “Feathertail, it’s too late. StarClan is calling me.” I widened my eyes as I saw the badger behind her. “Watch out!” I cried before darkness engulfed me.
I opened my eyes and saw Ashfoot, my mother. “Ashfoot!” I purred. I looked around me. I was in StarClan. I looked at my mother. “Is Feathertail alright?” I asked with distress in my voice.
Ashfoot pointed across the clearing. “Look for yourself.” She murmured.
It was Feathertail and she was running towards me. “Crowfeather!” she purred.
I touched noses with and she twined her tail with mine. “I love you Crowfeather.” She purred.
I purred, “And I love you, Feathertail.” We padded together, the stars making our pelt shimmer. We were together, finally.
