Chapter 4, coming soon!

CHAPTER 4
Ghoststar staggered to his feet, and gasped. Where was he? Instead of tall trees and lush undergrowth, cold stone walls surounded him. Then the tom remembered- his fight with Fang had left him unconcious. Bones lay heaped in a corner and Ghoststar shuddered. This must be Fang's home.
He looked around wildly, hoping for some way to escape. The entrance to the cave loomed a few fox-lengths ahead. But in front of the one way out, lay a sleeping Fang. Ghoststar cursed under his breath. How could he find and rescue Whitefeather if he was stuck in this cave, guarded by a vicious wolf?
"Stupid Darkear," Ghoststar hissed quietly. "If it wasn't for you, I would be safe at home in ShadowClan in my den, Whitefeather wouldn't be lost, and Jasminekit would be a normal apprentice!" Fang twitched in his sleep and Ghoststar flattened himself to the ground. "I know what I must do now," he whispered. "I must return to the Clans and take my rightful place as ShadowClan's leader!"

Scarpelt paced impatiently. Jasminekit imitated him, bouncing along beside him happily. "Where is Ghoststar?" the tom muttered. "He should be bck by now!" Jasminekit grinned.
"Grumble grumble grumble grumble!" she giggled. Scarpelt glared at her and she fell silent. Forest came crashing through the undergrowth.
"You have to help!" she panted. Scarpelt snarled at her, raising a menacing paw. "It's that white tom! Fang's got him!" Scarpelt stared at her in awe.
"You couldn't possibly mean Ghoststar?" he breathed. Jasminekit bounced in excitement up to the newcomer. She sat nearby and imitated Forest's heavy breathing.
"The white tom with the fluffy tail? Looking for some she-cat named Whitefeather?" she asked.
"It is him!" Scarpelt gasped. "Bloodfoot! Watch Jasminekit! I've got some rescuing to do!" Bloodfoot lumbered drowsily out of the bushes.
"Okay..." he yawned. He herded Jasminekit into the bushes with his tail, eyes drooping.
"Where to?" Scarpelt inquired, turning back to Forest. Forest gestured with her tail and took off running. The tom followed close behind.
"We're heading toward the Clan territories!" Scarpelt yowled, stopping abruptly. Forest skidded to a halt and gazed back at him.
"So?" she called back. "Do you want to save this... Ghoststar or not?" Scarpelt muttered something under his breath and continued after the tabby she-cat. They ran until they were not even a mouse-length from RiverClan territory. Scarpelt hoped that Forest would go back into unclaimed territory, but of course she ran straight over the RiverClan border.
"Halt!" a voice yowled. "What are you doing on RiverClan's hunting grounds?" Scarpelt cringed. They had been caught.
