Dawnfur was bored. She had finished grooming herself, Firestripe went out hunting and Frostywind was still asleep. She wished she had other friends, but all Frostywind's friends thought she was mean and too aggressive. Firestripe's friends were nicer to Dawnfur, but she didn't enjoy the company of them.
Dawnfur sighed, and wondered if anyone liked her. Did Ravenstar even trust her? If not, would she be sent into exile? Then Dawnfur realized she was being silly. She thought she'd be exiled because of her loneliness. Besides, Ravenstar is too good a leader to exile cats without reason. Maybe I could go hunting with Firestripe, if I can find him. Dawnfur thought.
But the question was, would Firestripe even want Dawnfur's company? Dawnfur sighed, and walked around the clearing, trying to think of something to do. Now she wished she had an apprentice. She would never be bored, and when she was, all she had to do was take her apprentice out training!
But Dawnfur thought Ravenstar would never give her an apprentice, and Dawnfur didn't even know why she thought that. Then Dawnfur realized there was a Gathering tonight. What if Ravenstar chose Dawnfur to go? It would be fun, but what if she was chosen to go when she already planned something? And what if she decided not to plan anything vecause she thought she'd get chosen, and doesn't get chosen?
Everything Dawnfur thought about confused her. Dawnfur shook her head and sighed. She laid down where she was and again, tried to think of something to do. She stood up again, and thought of something to do. I can go find a new place that's all to myself! she decided.
Dawnfur pelted out of camp, looking over her shoulders countless times. Soon, when she was near the center, edge of ThunderClan territory, she scented something that didn't have cat scent on it. Not ThunderClan cat scent, even though it was in ThunderClan territory.
Happily, Dawnfur padded over to the scent and saw a large, and very thick tree, with a big hole near the bottom. Poking her head through the hole, she realized the hole was dug from the buttom to the top, with an entrance. Not caring who might live there - it didn't smell of anything, anyway - Dawnfur jumped in.
It wasn't too dark, the sun was shining in the hole. She looked around. It was nice here, and best of all - it was all hers. She walked to the wood, and clawed her way up until she was poking her head through a bunch of leaves at the top. She could see ThunderClan camp from here!
Dawnfur purred excitedly and turned around. What's this? she wondered, looking at a marshy spot. Then realized it was RiverClan! "Wow!" she mewed excitedly. "What about . . . ShadowClan . . . ?" She turned back around, she could see ShadowClan territory, but not their camp.
Again, Dawnfur turned and she was staring an open moorland where WindClan hunted rabbits. It was obviously WIndClan territory. "This is so cool! It's great that nobody knows about this tree." she meowed. Her head disappeared from the leaves and she clawed carefully back down again.
Shr ran back to camp, she was hungry already. She stopped when a cat stopped her from entering camp, it was Duskshadow - her father, and ThunderClan's deputy. Dawnfur shrank back a little. "H-hello D-Duskshadow . . . W-why are you s-stopping m-me?" she stammered. "Where were you?" he asked, trying not to growl.
"Checking the borders. . ." Dawnfur replied. That wasn't a complete lie, she saw the borders and territory of all the Clans. "Then why did you go by yourself?" Duskshadow demanded. "I'm not comforatable around most of the Clan, they don't exactly like me . . . only Firestripe and Frostywind. And when I left, Frostywind was still asleep and Firestripe was hunting." That was true.
"Very well, but next time, either bring some cats with you, or bring back some prey." Duskshadow meowed, and walked away. Dawnfur seemed shocked. She was too busy thinking about her beautiful new spot, to actually think about bringing back prey so she wouldn't get in trouble!

That was GREAT! ;D I feel sorry for Dawnfur, I wonder if she'll ever find a mate, or at least a close companian besides her brother and sister.

Frostywind was bored. Dawnfur was on border patrol, and Firestripe was on a hunting patrol. Wolfshadow, Autumnwing and Dragonflower were all on the border patrol with Dawnfur. Dawnfur wanted to go alone, but Duskshadow wouldn't let her.
Frostywind wondered why Dawnfur liked to be alone so much now. But it also didn't matter right now, Frostywind decided to go find Darkness. She began trotting out of camp when she heard a voice behind her. "Where are you going?"
She turned around and saw Aquarain looking at her. "Hunting." Frostywind meowed. "You can go on a patrol, the other one's due back soon." Aquarain suggested. "Oh, okay." Frostywind replied, and walked away. Great, now I have to go hunting! she thought angrily.
Sighing, Frostywind watched the hunting patrol return - Duskshadow, Firestripe and Nightflower. "Hi, I'm supposed to go on the next hunting patrol." meowed Frostywind, trying to look cheerful. After all, she was planning to slip away and visit Darkness. "Great, bring Aquarain with you, and Auroraice." Duskshadow replied.
Frostywind bowed her head, and went to the warriors den to find Aquarain and Auroraice. She saw them sharing tongues there. "Aquarain, Auroraice!" she called. The two warriors looked at her. "Ah, the patrol must be back. Duskshadow wants us to go with you?" asked Aquarain.
Frostywind nodded. "Alright, let's go!" Auroraice mewed, getting to her paws. Frostywind led the way out of camp. "I'm going to hunt over there," Frostywind told them, flicking her tail in the direction of the cave. Of course, it wasn't visible to them yet because they were on the other side of the territory.
Aquarain nodded and meowed, "Okay, Auroraice and I will hunt around here." Frostywind bowed her head, and pelted away in the direction of Darkness' cave. Once she reached the entrance, she called, "Darkness!" A black shape emerged from the den. "Hello Frostywind." Darkness greeted. "How are you?" Frostywind asked, stepping into the cave. "Fine, I guess." Darkness replied, and sat down.
Frostywind didn't reply. "So, why did you come here?" asked Darkness after licking his paw. "I just came to visit." Frostywind meowed."Okay," replied Darkness, who got up and jumped onto a higher boulder. Frostywind just realized other cat scents mingled with the scent of Darkness, but they all smelled alike.
Before Frostywind could ask who was there, Darkness called, "Cats of DarknessClan, gather here!" Frostywind was confused, was Darkness leading a pack of loners and rogues on ThunderClan territory, and this cave was their camp. Frostywind saw cats immediately run out of their dens to sit near the boulder.
Frostywind noticed a grey tom with darker grey stripes, a white chest and a white muzzle, emerge from the largest den and sit down on the boulder with Darkness, facing DarknessClan. "We have a prisoner." Darkness snorted, pointing with his muzzle to Frostywind.
Frostywind gasped. She trusted Darkness, and now what was happening? She was being betrayed. "Darkness!" she yowled as cats surrounded her, drowning out her calls. She was trapped and afraid, what if she never retruned to ThunderClan?
Cats started attacking her, and she couldn't fight back. She was bleeding badly, and felt dizzy. She saw Darkness look helplessly at her and the grey and white cat glare at her, then everything went black black, and she didn't feel anything.
She finally blinked awake and found herself in a deep and very dark hole, above her were cats glaring at her, and laughing at her. Frostywind didn't defend herself, she just looked around. Crowfood, that was what she had to eat. There was a small pile of crowfood laying in front of her.
There was also a puddle of mud-filled rain water beside the crowfood pile. She sighed, and curled up, not to sleep, just to escape the glares shot down at her. She heard the faint sounds of pawsteps above her, and realized the cats must be moving away.
Just to make sure, Frostywind glanced up. There were no cats looking down at her. She just realized she was starving, but there was no way she would eat crowfood. She wasn't thirsty, so she didn't need to mucky water. Maybe, I can claw my way up and run out.
Then Frostywind realized something else. Why didn't I fight back against DarknessClan? she wondered. I'm the best fighter in my family! She shook her head side-to-side and decided all she wanted to do was escape. So she extended her claws, and put the first paw on the wall of the hole.
She dug her claws into it, and quickly did it more times. She was about a fox-length away from the exit out of the prison, when she lost her grip and fell, landing with a loud thump on the ground. "Ow . . ." she moaned. Frostywind had landed on her side, it was stained with blood, and hurting badly.
But she wouldn't give up until she escaped, and so she limped to the hole walls, and did the same thing. "Almost there!" she murmured to herself, she was only a couple mouse-lengths away. She was staring up, and forgot that she was taking another step.
She was falling, but she managed to dig her claws of her two front paws into the walls. Sighing with relief, she began clawing her way up again. By the time she was on the flat surface of the cave, she was panting, tired of the effort it took to get up. Glancing around, she noticed no cats were out of their dens yet.
Relieved again, Frostywind ran to the cave exit, when she heard a familar voice calling her name. Darkness. She turned around. "What do you want?" she spat, unsheathing her claws and baring her teeth. Darkness took a step forward, and Frostywind let out a growl of defiance, making him step back again.
"Why did you try to make me a prisoner?" she spat. "Because I was forced to. Frostywind, I am a prisoner." Darkness replied. "Ha! You lead this DarknessClan!" Frostywind retorted. "Well, I do, but these cats believe I was chosen to lead a band of loners." Darkness meowed.
"And you agreed?" Frostywind hissed, her fur bristling. "Not even I would stand a chance against these many cats!" Darkness meowed. Frostywind began to understand, he was forced to, because he knew he would have to fight if he didn't agree to lead it.
"Well then," Frostywind growled. "Why did you stop me, and what are you going to do to me?" "I just wanted to tell you that. And meet me at Snakestream tomorrow at dawn. I promise nobody will be with me." Darkness told her. Frostywind had to admit, he looked like he would keep his promise. "Fine."
Frostywind began limping back to camp, she was still bleeding, and her fur was red, stained with the scarlet colour of blood. She was limping fast as she could, hoping it was fast enough. She decided to trust Darkness to cover for her absence, but another DarknessClan cat might find her.
She soon saw camp only a few fox lengths away. As she limped rapidly towards the entrance, she heard something and stopped. There was a rustle in the bushes behind her. If it's prey, I'm not hunting it. If it's a cat, I better get going! she thought. So Frostywind continued to limp to the entrance.
"Stop!" a voice behind her hissed. Frostywind disobeyed the stange cat, and continued to go. "Leave ThunderClan territory!" she hissed as she turned around. She then recognized the cat. "Frostywind." Darkness muttered. "Darkness, why did you follow me?" asked Frostywind.
"You look hurt. I wanted to help you, but if you don't need help . . ." Darkness replied, and as he turned around, Frostywind thought for a while. Now I'll now why no Clans want him! If I agree for him to help, I can see how the other cats react, and maybe they'll blurt out what happened!
"Wait!" Frostywind called. "You're right, I am hurt, and my paws might bleed even more if I continue to walk." that wasn't a lie, there were lots of rocks to get into the entrance of ThunderClan camp. Darkness turned, and ran back to Frostywind.
He gave Frostywind support, and helped her into camp. Good, most of the senior warriors, and even Duskshadow is out! Hopefully one of them will call Ravenstar! Frostywind thought, and she limped into the clearing, supported by Darkness.
Warriors near gasped in shock, and glared at Darkness, baring their teeth and unsheathing their claws. Frostywind tried hard not to smile, and she was lucky no cat attacked Darkness. After all, he was helping Frostywind. "The medicine cat's den is over there." meowed Frostywind, pointing her tail to the medicine cat's den.
"Fairywing!" Frostywind called weakly. A white she-cat came out of the den with a long-stemmed violet wrapped around her tail. Fairywing gasped. "Darkclaw!" she hissed. "His name is Darkness, he's a loner," Frostywind knew saying 'loner' was a lie, when he led a fake Clan.
"He used to be a member of ShadowClan, he . . ." Darkness stopped Fairywing from continuing. "Stop, just help Frostywind, she's badly injured." Fairywing reluctantly nodded, and took Frostywind to her den.

Firestripe got back from hunting, and saw Darkness helping Frostywind to the medicine cat's den. "Frostywind! Darkness!" he called, pelting over to them. "Darkness, what happened to Frostywind?" he asked once he got to the medicine cat's den.
"Too hard to explain, please don't make me." Darkness muttered. Firestripe nodded slowly. "So, you helped Frostywind here? That's nice of you. So, are the cats angry at your being here?" Firestripe asked. Darkness nodded.
"Certainly." he meowed, embarassed. "Ravenstar is coming out," Firestripe hissed quietly. Darkness kept walking, matching every step with Firestripe. Darkness just nodded. He kicked a stone away that was in his path, and stared at his paws.
He fell down onto the ground and noticed that he had bumped into someone. "Sorry," he murmured, and got to his paws. There was a big black cat in front of him, and he realized it was Ravenstar.
Ravenstar glared at him, clenching her teeth. "Darkness, what are you doing here?" she demanded angrily. "I was helping Frostywind back to camp, she was attacked, and I became friends with her a few days ago and I wanted to help her so I did and I'm sorry, Ravenstar, I'll be leaving now."
Darkness took a deep breath, he didn't stop to breathe for the whole time he was talking. "Explain to me in my den. Firestripe, Duskshadow, Nightflower, Aquarain and Auroraice, come with me!" Ravenstar called loudly.

Firestripe watched the warriors follow Ravenstar to the den, and ran after them. He was going too. The den seemed small with so many cats, but that didn't matter to Firestripe. He sat down beside Darkness, not caring if other cats insulted him for it.
"Tell me what happend." Ravenstar growled to Darkness. Darkness sighed, and bowed his head. He was uneasy at the thought of explaining that he saved Frostywind. What if the Clan didn't believe he saved her? Firestripe believed him. Firestripe truly believed that Darkness didn't lie.
"I was at my cave. It's in ThunderClan territory, incase you want to know. Where else can I stay? Anyway, there were these banished cats, rogues and loners that came to me. About as much cats in your Clan, I guess, maybe a little less." Darkness began, meeting Ravenstar's gaze steadily.
"They told me I was destined to be their leader. I didn't want to lead them, I wanted to live a silent life by myself! But I had to agree. They were as blood-thirsty as I was when I was in ShadowClan. I knew they would kill me if I didn't accept, and think about what would happen to your Clan under one of those cats' leadership?" Darkness questioned Ravenstar.
But Ravenstar just beckoned with her tail for him to continue. "I said I would lead them. So I appointed a deputy, just as a regular Clan would. We named the Clan DarknessClan, after me. Just like ThunderClan started out with Thunderstar, ShadowClan with Shadowstar, RiverClan with Riverstar and . . . well, you get the point." Darkness meowed.
Firestripe's ears twitched. Darkness led a band of rogues now, did he? Firestripe continued to listen as Darkness continued, "My appointed deputy was Shatteredflower." Ravenstar gasped, and the warriors around her were shocked. What was it they knew that Firestripe didn't?
"She convinced me to do bad things. Your friend, Frostywind, wandered into my cave, thinking it was just me there. I called my Clan together, and told them I had a prisoner - Frostywind. Shatteredflower was watching, and she'd kill me if I let your friend escape!" Darkness explained.
"So my Clan threw her into prison, which is a very deep hole in the ground. There was a small pile of crowfood she could eat, and a puddle of muddy water if she got thirsty." Darkness stared down at his paws, then looked at Ravenstar again.
Firestripe wasn't shocked of how Darkness helped Frostywind at the end, but the others were. Ravenstar nodded when Darkness finished explaining what had happened. "I believe you, I saw you helping Frostywind. I thank you for saving her, and maybe she wants you to visit her?" Ravenstar suggested.
Darkkness nodded relectantly, and padded off to the medicine cats' den. Firestripe and the other warriors and Ravenstar were the only ones left in the den. "Well, you go eat, all of you." meowed Ravenstar. "Incase your tired, get some sleep. There;s a Gathering tonight, Darkness is coming with us."

GREAT chapter! ;D Is Darkness part of the Clan now since he's going to the Gathering? And if he is part of the Clan, what about the band of rogues and loners?

He's not part of the Clan, Ravenstar just wants to remind the other Clans of Darkness, and tell them he might not be as mean as he was before.
He's still leader of DarknessClan, but the ambitious Shatteredflower is taking over for the time he's gone.

Dawnfur yawned. She just woke up, and she padded out of the warriors den. She saw a familiar black cat, dirty, matted fur and glaring blood red eyes. "Darkness!" she growled. Darkness turned to her. The black loner smirked. "Hello, Dawnfur." Darkness mewed. He walked over to Dawnfur, and stood beside her. "I'm going to this Gathering, Ravenstar gave me permission." Dawnfur growled. "You're not even part of ThunderClan!" she snarled.
"I'm aware of that, Dawnfur. But your leader wants me at this Gathering." Darkness retorted. "No . . ." Dawnfur muttered. "You aren't going, you mousebrain!" "Fine, if you don't believe me, ask Ravenstar." Darkness replied simply. Dawnfur growled, and pelted away from Darkness. "You stupid mousebrain!" she called over her shoulder.
What if he's telling the truth? Dawnfur wondered as she was heading to the Gathering. Frostywind was better now, and she was coming, along with Darkness! Soon, the group of cats made it to Fourtrees.
