NOTE-
This is a poem about how terrible the destruction of the Amazonian rain forest is. Every year, beautiful mounds of green forests are cut away. Enjoy!

The forest sang a melody
A new sub-age was born
The howls of wind brought pain and sighing
To the perfection of the once green trees
The dead fish spun about the lake
The sun was launching streaks of death
The blackened rivers coldly whispered
Life would soon be through
The fish died out from lack of water
Its once live body lifeless
The rotting flesh would be the meal
For others facing starvation
The red hot skies blazed deathful rays
Smoke was ever scene
Whilst fires burned away the earth
Goodbye, my once green tree
